20th Annual MLK Brunch with Spady Museum
January 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Delray Beach-based Spady Cultural Heritage Museum’s celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. One thing that’s new for 2020, though, is a change in location: Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach, not the museum itself. This year’s keynote speaker will be Grace Vandecruze, a New York-based CPA, financial advisor, sailor and author who will share her story of overcoming personal obstacles to achieve professional success. Learn a bit more about her here. There will also be insightful discussions led by community leaders sharing their perspectives on Dr. King’s legacy, inspirational performances by poets, dancers and musicians as well as a re-enactment of Ida B. Wells, another civil rights icon, by Lake Worth Beach-based Core Ensemble. Tickets are $45 per person and include a full breakfast buffet and beverages. RSVPs are requested by Jan. 6, 2020, especially for the $600, 10-seat tables, which can include special recognition of an organization and a special gift for its guests.
